De Arabische Lente vormt het kernthema van dit werk. Er wordt een poging gedaan om de beeldvorming van de Arabische Lente in het Nederlandstalige mediadiscours aan te snijden. Twee essentiële factoren van de Arabische opstanden sinds december 2010 worden onder de loep genomen. Hoe wordt de revolutie gemediatiseerd enerzijds? En in hoeverre wordt deze geïslamiseerd anderzijds?
In eerste instantie wordt een blik geworpen op de mediatisering van de Arabische Lente, omdat de mediatieke factor een onmisbare rol speelde tijdens de Arabische opstanden, niet alleen plaatselijk, maar ook wereldwijd door hun gevolgen die verder gingen dan de Arabische geografie. Anderzijds wordt er aandacht besteed aan de islamisering, want de politieke islam was aanwezig gedurende alle fasen van de Arabische Lente. De religieuze factor is dan ook van zeer groot belang, al is dit zeker niet de enige factor.

I this chapter, Tijani Boulaouali deals with the problem of the eternal burial in the Dutch and Belgian contexts, that has been emerged because of the Corona crisis. So, it causes a lot of discussion among Muslims in Europe about the ruling on burial in countries of residence where a legal ambiguity surrounds the possibility of eternal burial.

This topic requires a holistic approach that takes into account different sociological, conceptual, historical and legal aspects. Firstly, the eternal burial problem is situated in its sociological context. Secondly, the term ‘eternal burial’ is defined linguistically and terminological. Thirdly, the historical roots of the burial issue in the Netherlands and Belgium are discussed. Fourthly, the rules of the burial and cemeteries are investigated to determine the possibilities provided for the Muslims groups. Finally, the research concluded with a set of scenarios related to the future of eternal burial in the Dutch and Belgian contexts.

The author, Tijani Boulaouali, has tried to write articles and texts of this book in the same vein as the main article, with a thin semantic thread connecting them, which the reader notices in every space of the book, in an open or hidden way. This high indicative thread is that the Arab and Islamic nation as a whole is collapsing before the eyes of the world in the way of the Cowboy.

It is important that this book be read in the cultural, media and political context in which it was written. It is a context that has undergone a lot of change, whether in reality, or in the approach of the writer himself who entered the academic world, which affected the nature of the new writing that he produced, and the “cognitive” vision he carried.

Most parts of this book were initially written as general articles, both for the press and for digital media. The author Tijani Boualawali later rewrote, arranged and published it in this book under the title: Islamophobia is a media industry marketed in the West.

The subject of Islamophobia is the link between the various articles, ideas and discussions of this book. In it, the writer dealt with various topics related primarily to immigration and the Islamic presence in Europe and the West. The most important of these topics are: reverse immigration, dual nationality, Dutch youth of Moroccan origin, Muslims in Europe between the ideological West and the humanist West.
